ZTE to Release an Axon 30 5G With Improved Under-Panel Camera
Last year ZTE released the Axon 20, the industry's first commercially available phone with an under-panel camera (UPC), this year's Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra featured standard punch-hole designs for their selfie cams. ZTE, which has a modest reputation in smartphones and low volume can take chances to be the first and the Axon 20’s UPC was widely criticized as not allowing sufficient light to the camera, while allowing the low resolution segment to be noticeable. The new Visionox’s InV see Pro display comes with improvements for the pixel arrangement, designed to ensure better clarity and less fogging on the embedded selfie camera. The new display, hopefully, will allow ZTE to provide better quality for selfies and will fix video recording issues. The Axon 20 sports a 32MP selfie camera, and the next Axon should have a similar sensor.

According to ZTE, they have eliminated glare and diffraction from the material level. The triple forward-looking smart algorithm onboard can effectively eliminate the adverse effects of foggy surfaces, to produce a picture that is bright, transparent, and intelligently adjust exposures. Specifications include a Snapdragon 888 SoC, used in the Axon 30 Ultra and Pro. However, the vanilla variant may bring a less expensive chip, such as the Snapdragon 870. The company didn’t say when exactly, but unofficial sources point to a July 22 announcement (ZTE President Ni Fei did say there’s an all-new device coming this month, without any details). The pixel density of the area above the camera will double (200 ppi to 400 ppi), which should make it less noticeable.
