Zhejiang Firstar Panel Technology (FPT) Invests in 3D Glasses
Kipost, IT online news reported that Firstar Panel Technology (FPT) will producing 3D cover glasses for automotive and wearable display application. Samsung pioneered introducing 3D cover glasses, starting with early Galaxy series 7. The 3D glass market was $4.6B in 2019 and is forecast at a 33% CAGR between 2021 and 2026, reaching $34B in 2026. FPT expects to enter the wearable and automotive segment with 3D glass. According to Kipost, FPT issued $230M in stock only limited to 35 investors. $48M from the total investment will be utilized on automotive and wearable application production, producing up to 11m sets of 3D glasses while the $110M will be invested on smartphone 3D glass application.
