TCL Recovers from the Pandemic
TCL Technology released its Q21 earning’s report with operating income of around $5B, up 133.91%Y/Y, net profit was around $503M, a 10.96 times increase Y/Y; net profit attributable to shareholders was around $374M a Y/Y increase of 488.97%. CSoT had net profits of around $373M a Y/Y increase of around USD400 million. Zhonghuan Semiconductor, which focuses on semiconductors and new energy, was included in the company's consolidated statements in October 2020. During the reporting period, the subsidiary had a net profit of around $115M, a Y/Y increase of 100%. Zhonghuan Semiconductor and CSoT accounted for 97% of TCL’s profit. TCL is the #2 supplier of TVs and sound bar, a minor player in smartphones, and a manufacturer of air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
