Sharp to Release 65” and 55” 4K OLED TVs in May

Sharp will launch its first OLED TV series the CQ1 on May 23 in Japan. Sharp’s new TVs are the 65CQ1, a 65-inch, and the 55CQ1, a 55-inch, 4K OLED TVs. Sharp developed ICs to improve visual and audible qualities. Its image processer IC the Medalist S1, the Sparkling Drive is a luminance enhancer and the FRONT OPEN SOUND SYSTEM PLUS, is a 7-speaker system of a 2.1 channel with 65W. Sharp becomes the 18th OLED TV brand, following Panasonic, Sony and Toshiba. Sharp has a 27% market share of TVs in Japan. Sharp also announced 9 new LCD TVs. Pricing for the 65CQ1 will be ~$3900  ~$2600 for the 55CQ1.
