Sewoo No Longer Exclusive Supplier to LG Display

Samsung Display is being supplied with key OLED material from Poongwon Precision – one of LG Display’s suppliers . Until now, Sewoo Incorporation has been the exclusive supplier of the material Open Metal Mask (OMM), which is a key component for producing small and mid-sized OLED panels. Poongwon began supplying OMM to Samsung Display in the latter half of 2019. Poongwon is one of the top three manufacturers, along with Sewoo, leading the market. In 2019, Sewoo had posted sales of KRW 79.2 billion, while Poongwon had posted KRW 41.9 billion. Another rival, Pims, posted just over KRW 10 billion. Pims targets mostly Chinese clients.
