Samsung Unsurprising Unpacked Event
      
There was no substantial news  at the Unpacked Event, as everything had been leaked for months. On both the Flip and the Fold, Samsung has more custom software, and is working with big-time app developers like Spotify and Netflix and to make use of things like split-screen and multiple apps at once. Some of the more meaningful product news:

• Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • The third generation of Samsung’s Fold mastered water, with an IPX8 certification against water ingress meaning it’s all sealed up, and it’s more metal and glass than ever. 
  • The under panel camera uses a pattern on top of the camera that is  turned off when the camera is used
  • That inner display is protected by a new PET plastic that’s more durable and less scratch resistant.
  • The price starts at $1,799. 
• Galaxy Flip 3:
  • It has IPX8 certification against water ingress 

• The outer display is blended with the camera housing
• The inner 6.7-inch AMOLED interior screen that runs at 120Hz, with a seam but it’s less noticeable
• Positioned as the less masculine option and more fashionable, 
• Also uses the high end Snapdragon 888 chip, but the battery is smaller at 3,300mAh 
• At $999, it’s $400 cheaper than last year and threatens the marketability of the Google Fold and the Razr, with similar form factors and price point.
• Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic
  • New chipset, new Wear OS, new health-tracking features, the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic are more powerful and functional including software improvements 
  • The function of the physical rotating bezel returns to the Watch 4 Classic, and there are two sizes at 42 and 46mm, plus LTE options.
  • Includes a body composition monitor which details skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate (BMR), water retention, and body fat percentage, 
  • The Watch 4 starts at $250 — the Watch 4 Classic adds some classiness and that bezel for $350.
