Samsung Applies for ‘Samsung PIFF’ Trademark

Samsung’s applied for the ‘Samsung PIFF’ trademark that it has been approved. The trademark is classified as a ninth category, and its description is very simple: ‘the display screen of a smartphone’.

The type of panel for this screen is unclear, since it doesn’t call out OLEDs or LCDs. 
Samsung has recently introduced OLED panels for 5G smartphones. Compared with current products, it consumes less power and can effectively extend the standby time of smartphones.
