Rollable TV Rolled Out in North America and Europe

The 2021 R1 OLED TV features 4K resolution and a full speaker system as well as other new features such as webOS 6.0 and HDMI 2.1, although without VRR support like in the mainstream LG OLED TVs. LG says that the panel can withstand 50,000 roll cycles (14 times/per day for 10years). Korea JoongAng Daily reported in February that LG Electronics has sold only around 10 units of the 65-inch Rollable OLED TV in Korea since its release. Omdia estimates shipments of rollable TVs will hit 3,000 units in 2022, expand further to 74,000 units in 2024, which is equivalent to the revenue of 3m unrollable 65” OLED TVs.
