RiTdisplay to Use Micro LEDs to Overcome Market Reductions in PMOLEDs
December 22, 2019

RiTdisplay posted revenues of NT$125 million (US$4.144 million) for November, down 7.96% on month and 40.7% on year. Year-to-date, revenues totaled NT$1.57 billion, decreasing 32.4% from a year. CEO DC Wang claims ban of e-cigarettes in a number of states and cities in the US contributed to the decline. The company plans to kick off volume production of rigid or flexible micro LED displays in 2020. Two of the company's subsidiaries – It’s Cashido subsidiary is a specialist in SMT technology, which enhances RiTdisplay's capability to manufacture of mini/micro LED display devices, as well as OLED-based displays for bathroom and medical care applications. The SMT arm has begun generating profit since the third quarter of 2019 and will be able to maintain its sales momentum in 2020, Wang added.
