PC Shipments to Experience Negative Growth Thru 2022

Gartner reports that PCs, Notebooks, Tablets and Workstation shipments, which have been declining over the last 3-5 years will continue to decline between 2017 and 2022. The CAGR for the sum of the four product types is forecast to be -1.8%, with the desktop and datacenter workstation down 2.5%, the slate table down 6.2% offset by some growth in notebooks and detachable tablets. Total unit shipments are forecast to fall from 423.2m in 2017 to 385.7m in 2022.
