OLED Smartphone Panel Shipments to Experience a CAGR of  19% thru 2022.

OLED smartphone panels are forecasted to reach 450m panels in 2018 up 10% Y/Y, but growth is expected to more than double in 2019 reaching 530m and grow to over 700m in 2020 and over 800m in 2021. Through 2022, the 4-year CAGR is expected to be 19%. In terms of sizes, the growth will be led by panels 6.03-6.43” and 6.44 – 7.2”, which should make up 72% of shipments by 2022.

​By 2023, flexible displays (non-foldable) are forecast to make up 52% of shipments, up from 26% in 2018. Foldable displays could reach 40m by 2022.

Revenue for all OLED displays will be $26.5b in 2018 and should almost double to ~$49.2b by 2022. While the revenue is dominated by smartphone and TV panels, there will by a number of application experiencing considerable growth including monitors, notebooks and automotive.
