Apple’ Supplier List Excludes AUO and Chinese Display Makers

Apple released its most recent supplier list, which covers 98% of the materials, manufacturing, and assembly of Apple products in 2016.  No longer on the list was panel producer AUO, which was a supplier of the Macbook Air display in the previous year’s list.  The Chinese press suggests that Beijing based BOE will become a key display supplier, joining the ranks of LG Display, Japan Display, Sharp, Panasonic and Samsung although BOE was not on the current list.
