May TV Panel Prices Remain Down
May 17, 2020
Confirming our report on LCD panel prices last week, quotes for 32-inch TV panels are expected to dip US$2 to US$32 on average in May after falling US$4 in April. Demand for 39.5- and 43-inch models should be weak as prices drop by US$3-5 to US$61 and US$65, respectively; 50-inch panels should fall another US$2 to US$85 after sliding $2 in April. 55-inch models should fall $3 to $107, while those for 75-inch models should be down US$5 to an average of $280. Monitor panel prices are likely to fall in a smaller range between $0.25- $0.5 in May, as limited supply capacity of LCMs will result in tight supply of monitor panels. Prices of TN-based notebook panels are edging up $0.2, and quotes for IPS-based models remain flat. From: Sigmaintell Consulting
