LG’s Wing – Two Displays for $1,000
As we have commented in the past, LG Display was prototyping foldable OLEDs 5-years ago, giving LGE had the opportunity to use the new form factor and work out the issues. With the recent popularity of the foldables, LGE’s decision to develop workarounds seems incongruous. Now LGE is releasing the Wing and even if this swivel form factor —which sees the front screen spin clockwise 90-degrees to a landscape position—ends up being a gimmick that doesn’t bring much to the table, LGE should be applauded for trying something different.
