LGD’s OLED TV And POLED Panel Production Back To Normal Levels

Shinhan Investment Corp. reported LGD’s OLED TV panel production is now in full swing, with the OLED TV panel line in Guangzhou running at normal capacity after a year of delay. They expect OLED TV panel output will jump 41% Y/Y to 4.81m units in 2020 and grow 65.7% Y/Y to 7.97m in 2021. Shipments of smartphone OLED panels to strategic clients are expected to grow more than threefold with production at the small/mid-size POLED panel line also back to normal levels. POLED panel operations, in particular, should turn profitable in 2021 as LGD forecasts growth in sales of high-margin automotive panels. LGD is currently supplying the breakthrough CID for the 2019 Cadillac Escalade. Source: Business Korea
