Kumi Politicians Plead w/LGE to Retail TV Assembly Factory

​Kumi’s mayor, Seung-joo Baek officially requested that LGE reconsider moving its A3 TV assembly fab to Indonesia. LGE’s new plan for TV fab will be located in Cibitung, Indonesia. The A3’s major 2 lines, which will be over 90% of capacity will be moving to a new fab in Cibitung, Indonesia. LGE explained that the fab in Cibitung will become a major hub production site for Asia region for TV application. The Cibitung fab will go under 50% capacity expansion soon while A3 fab in Kumi will remain as the mother factory to focus on support and control the global TV production sites of LGE, in addition, focus on producing premium applications such as rollable TVs, wallpaper TVs and medical monitors. LGE’s TV production sites are in Cibitung, Indonesia for Australia and Asia region, in Reynosa and Mexicali, Mexico for North America, and Mlawa, Poland for European region.
