China issued its first 5G licenses on June 5, 2019. While much of the data surrounding China’s 5G network infrastructure is unconfirmed, here are some of the stats…
- 10,000+ 5G base stations built weekly in 2020 250,000 5G base stations deployed in China
- 600,000+ 5G base stations built by the end of this year is the goal, covering each city at prefecture level or above.
- Over 36m 5G subscribers by late April with 7m new in April alone. The goal is for 200m by the end of the year.
