Idemitsu Kosan Expands Capacity to 22-Ton a Year
Idemitsu Kosan increased its capacity in China. On December 1, the company held an opening ceremony of new fab in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in China. Idemitsu now has 3-fab locations; in Omaezaki, Japan from 2007, in Paju, Korea from 2012 and Chengdu, China from 2020. Two years ago, Idemitsu announced its expansion plan in Chengdu, China, targeting BOE’s G6 flexible fab in Chengdu-City. The annual output are 2-tons in Japan and 8-tons in Korea, respectively. However, the Chengdu fab can produce as much as 12-ton a year.
