IDC Reports Q319 Smartphone Shipments Up 0.8% Y/Y

IDC agreed with other research entities that smartphone shipments stopped decreasing and were up slightly in Q319. The top 5 were Samsung, Huawei, Apple Xiaomi and OPPO in all survey results.

Looking longer term, IHS projects that by 2023, OLED panels will have a 50% share of the smartphone market, which translates to 750m panels, up from a projected 430m in 2019.
