IDC and Canalys Agree on PC Growth in Q220, Gartner More Pessimistic

IDC, Gartner and Canalys have each published PC shipment figures for Q220 - and say the market grew. IDC was the most optimistic claiming global PC shipments grew by 11.2 per cent in Q2 to 72.3 million units. Gartner was the most pessimistic claiming that shipments grew by just 2.8 per cent in Q2 to 64.8 million units.
Canalys' had shipments up by nine per cent to 72.9 million units. Canalys commented on the obvious – “notebooks have "singlehandedly pulled the PC market out of depression".
