H121 TV Set Revenue and Shipments Up 36.1% and 7.4% Y/Y Respectively
The worldwide TV market in the first half posted revenue of $54.2 billion, up 36.1% percent Y/Y, while shipments reached 99.11 million units, up 7.4% Y/Y.
Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics accounted for half of TV set revenue in H121, a report showed, as they maintained their leadership in the premium segment. Samsung had a 31% share percent of the global TV revenue, while LG followed with a 19% share, according to Omdia. Sony was 3rd with 9.3% followed by TCL with 7.4% and Hisense with 7.3%.
