Gartner, an Outlier, Reports Smartphone Shipments Up in Q418 and 2018

Gartner bucked the consensus of all the other market researchers are reported smartphone growth of 0.1% in Q418 and 1.2% in 2018. All the others report shipments falling in 2018 by 1% to as much as 4%. According to Gartner, Apple recovered its #2 position displacing Huawei despite dropping 2.1% in market share and 11.9% in unit volume.
