Galaxy Fold 2 Display Feature Punch-Hole Designs but Release Could be Delayed
June 29, 2020

Recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy Fold 2 will be featuring a 7.7-inch foldable display up from 7.3” with a notch in the Fold display. The original Fold came with a 4.6-inch cover display. Its successor is expected to be equipped with a 6.23-inch screen with comparatively slimmer bezels. It will offer a resolution 819 x 2267 pixels resolution and support the traditional 60Hz refresh rate. The display design will replace the notch adopting a punch-hole design for inner and outer screens

With punch-hole design and a larger screen, the Galaxy Fold 2 will offer a higher screen-to-body ratio.  The Galaxy Fold 2’s 7.7-inch display is expected to offer a resolution of 1689 x 2213 pixels and an aspect ratio of 11.8:9 and support up to 120Hz refresh rate.  A new report announced that while the company will be launching it’s the Fold 2 together with the flagship Galaxy Note 20 series on August 5, 2020, the fold 2 may not be available shortly after its official announcement, due to supply constraints regarding the UTG that Samsung will be adopting on top of the Galaxy Fold 2’s foldable display. The UTG supply issues which also affect the flip line, are expected to last until 2021. From: Gizmochina
