Fitbit Announces the Charge

Fitbit is almost ready with its next Charge wearable according to  leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) with a set of renders he recently posted.
Picture
Since this is allegedly a Charge device, it is safe to assume that it will have on-board GPS, like its predecessor, an Sp02 sensor, some ported-over some features like skin temperature tracking, previously only available on premium Sense devices.  There are two huge pads on either side of the device, which seem to be made of a slightly different metal than the rest of the body. It could be an ECG reader, or a sliding-based capacitive navigation.  The renders show a total of three colors for both the Fitbit Charge 5 itself, as well as its band. The latter are definitely proprietary and not standard watch straps. The planned announcement date is mid-October.
