Everlight’s Mini LEDs Installed in Backlights for Gaming Monitors and TVs

Everlight Electronics' mini LED products, including backlighting for LCD gaming monitors, direct-type backlighting for large-size LCD TVs, RGB panchromatic display modules and automotive displays, are being validated by clients, according to industry sources. The LED packaging service provider has showcased a 16.7-inch fine-pitch display formed by a mosaic of 25 60mm x 60mm RGB mini LED panchromatic display modules with a pitch of 0.75mm, the sources said. Everlight has shipped LED automotive lighting modules for use in taillights, headlights and indoor lamps, but their revenue proportion in 2019 will be under 10%, the sources noted. Everlight expects to begin shipping mini LED automotive displays in 2020. To avoid pricing competition in China's LED lighting market, Everlight has introduced LED indoor lamps featuring aesthetic design under German-based brand WOFI, which Everlight acquired in July 2013 and has since then supplied LED devices. Of Everlight's consolidated revenues of NT$10.344 billion (US$331 million) for January-June 2019, 25% came from LED and invisible-light LED devices; 30% from lighting and backlighting modules; over 30% from automotive lighting modules, fine-pitch displays and smartphone camera flashes.
