- Mini LED Technology -- Mini LEDs are built with diodes smaller than 0.2 mm but larger than 100um. This technology when used with FALD improves the CR of LCDs panels. BOE showed 15.6 inch and 27 inch panels with Mini LED that they claim had high million-level contrast ratio. BOE will offer the new panels to local Chinese manufacturers to compete with Samsung Display. Apple is also planning to use Mini LED Technology for its monitors.
- Other Displays from BOE
- Under Display Camera – BOE is trying to commercialize these panels to compete with Samsung and LG in eliminating the notch by using a punch-hole design.
- 3D Face Recognition Technology -- BOE showed its 3D face recognition technology, which is smarter and more convenient way to unlock devices
- Curved OLED Panels -- BOE 49-inch 32:9 ultra-wide OLED display with a 1,800R curvature.
- Foldable OLED Panel as an outward folding screen,
- Flexible OLED display having thin bezel
- 77” Dual Cell LCD
- Tianma Microelectronics showed its multi-point in-display fingerprint sensing solutions
- Flexible OLED, micro LED displays for automotive, medical care and industrial control applications.
- A 21:9 full screen flexible OLED display with a resolution of 2,592 by 2,176 for high-end foldable smartphone applications.
- 7.7-inch AM micro LED panel that features a transmittance ratio of 60% and a pixel density of 114ppi, developed with PlayNitride.
- EverDisplay Technology, showcased a 12.8-inch flexible AMOLED panel for automotive applications along with a 15.6-inch 4K rigid OLED notebook panel and an 11-inch WQHD rigid OLED table panel.
- Visionox demonstrated its first in-display camera solution along with a 3D hyperboloid flexible AMOLED panel for wearable applications and OLED panels featuring a 144Hz refresh rate.
