BOE Opens Large Panel Automated Assembly Line

BOE opened its large-panel module assembly plant in Fuzhou, China, Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian Province, one that has felt only moderate effects of the COVID-19 virus (296 cases). The facility is designed to be a fully automated assembly plant that is equipped to handle large TV panel module assembly, which requires more specialized handling equipment than might be normally used for smaller panels. BOE has two large panel production fabs, one in Hefei, which is in Anhui Province (990 cases), the 6th most ‘affected’ province and a second large panel fab in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province (67,707 cases), the epicenter of the outbreak and the city in which the virus is thought to have originated. It should be some time before it is receiving ample supply of panels to process.
