AUO consolidated revenues reached NT$20.51 billion (US$681.15 million) in March 2020, up by 16.0% sequentially but down by 15.9% Y/Y. Consolidated revenues in the first quarter of 2020 were NT$53.69 billion, down 13.4% sequentially and 19.5% Y/Y. In the first quarter of 2020, large-sized panel shipments totaled around 22.42 million units, down by 15.5% sequentially and 13.3% Y/Y. Shipments of small- to medium-sized panels in the quarter were around 29.52 million units, down by 21.2% sequentially but up by 18.3% Y/Y. The World Health Organization does not recognize Taiwan as a country, so no Taiwanese COVID-19 data has been included in WHO data but from there has been under 10 deaths and less than 400 cases. The Taiwan government is extremely proactive toward the disease and gives almost constant information to citizens as to best protect themselves and where to get the necessary safety items like masks.
