August TV Panel ASP’s Expected to Drop 10.1%  M/M

In August, IT panel prices rose but aggregate TV panel prices suffered  their first since May 2020, 10.1%sequentially, due to component shortages, higher logistics costs, and higher overall TV set prices stifling consumer demand. TV panel prices were down across the board. Tablet and smartphone panel prices were flat, while notebook and monitor prices were up marginally. The results in August seem to be a precursor for the 4th quarter when large area LCD panel prices are expected to drop in all categories.
