Apple to Add Zooming Capability to iPhone 13
DigitTimes reported that Apple is will improve the camera set-up of its next devices by beefing up its phones’ zooming capabilities. Apple is looking to partner with South Korean companies, which implies using the Samsung periscope lens. Should the deal go forward, there’s no indication the lens would appear in the iPhone 13. OPPO is already showing a periscope lenses on its phones. Apple typically takes a measured approach to using new technology preferring to let the hardware mature before putting it into its devices. Samsung lens’ is not only a reliable and commonly used bit of technology, but it has already been through the company’s quality review.
