Apple “Event” Includes Apple Watch 6 w/Blood Oxygen Monitoring
 
At the “Apple Event” on Septembe15, the company is expected to announce the Apple Watch Series 6 with a host of new capabilities including blood oxygen monitoring and mental health features and sleep tracking Those new features require a performance boost, and Apple could address that with improved battery life. Other announcements include new iPads, AirPods and Air Tags. The new iPhones will be announced later.
 
Apple is expected to begin initial 5G iPhone production in the middle of this September with mass production to start by early October, which is behind the usual August start but not as far behind as previously expected. The delay could set shipments back to 73-74M 5G iPhones this year, with the rest of its 80M order moving into 2021. The lowest-price 5G iPhone (6.1-inch OLED, two rear cameras) will get manufacturing priority as it accounts for 40% of Apple's overall orders.
