Redmi Customers Want OLED Displays, UPC Version Coming in H221

Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group China, and General Manager of Redmi Brand published a post discussing the new products of the next-generation Redmi Note series. While, Redmi has used AMOLED screens on the Redmi 10X series before, the Chinese version of the Redmi Note series has always used LCD screens that support a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Despite the high refresh rate, the Redmi Note series fans in China want OLED. Typically, Lu Weibing usually responds to popular requests.
Presently, OLED displays are widely used in mid-range and flagship products. The Redmi K40 series use AMOLED screens, and the Xiaomi Mi 11 series also use AMOLED screens. A recent Weibo post from @DCS, claims that a Redmi smartphone with an under-panel technology is on the way. His Weibo post shows that this device supports a 6.7-inch display with a FHD+ resolution. There is speculation that this device may be the Redmi K50 series. Xiaomi will mass-produce commercial under-panel camera technology in the second half of this year. The first model to use this technology may be in the Xiaomi MIX series.
