OLED Revenue Forecasted for 12% GAGR thru 2025
DSCC forecasted 2021OLED revenue at $42.5B. Contributing to revenue growth was Samsung’s new OLED notebook PC panel target of ~5.5m units. In 2022, DSCC expects OLED revenues to grow to ~$50B, up 17.6% Y/Y, increasing their penetration in all three IT markets – tablets, notebook PCs and monitors as an iPad will sport an OLED panel in 2023. Samsung Display has become very aggressive in notebooks and is expected to generate $1B in OLED panel revenues from 2023. Even though their latest PC, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 OLED display is flawed. (See the IT section). LG has started penetrating the gaming monitor market OLED and revenues could reach $500M by 2024.
