LGD Adds High Luminance 83” 4K Panel to Its TV Repertoire
LG Display is planning to introduce a larger 83-inch 4K OLED TV panel next year, according to a report by AVCesar. A brighter OLED panel is also a possibility. Besides the existing 48-, 55-, 65-, and 77-inch 4K OLED panels, LG Display is planning to introduce an 83-inch 4K OLED panel in 2021, according to the report. It is also currently producing 77- and 88-inch 8K OLED panels.
LG is expected to release a "high luminosity" OLED panel described the next OLED evolution where OLED pixels take advantage of a new luminous element and composition to enable higher brightness, reportedly ay 20% brighter (full white screen). It is another development of LG Display's OLED technology that is not related to the 83-inch panel.
