The Shrinking Flat Panel Industry 4-Year CAGR -- -1.7%
April 19, 2020

Omdia reports that the flat panel industry will contract by 11.1% in 2020 and that even though 2020 is an aberration, the decline started in 2017, when shipments peaked at 3.6b and have been going down ever since at the rate of -1.7% per annum through a forecasted 2021.  The only good news is that the 2020 downturn is not expected to sneak into 2021, which is expected to make up much of the prior year’s shortfall.
