Samsung’s E5 OLED Panel Configuration – Max Brightness 1508 nits

The iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro were launched in China and DisplayMate reported  its performance is the best in the industry. The 6.8-inch LTPO OLED  panel has QHD+ resolution (3,200 x 1,440 pixels), a 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10, and Dolby Vision. It matched or topped 14 different tests, including the ones related to brightness, color accuracy, DCI-P3 and sRGB color gamut coverage, and screen reflectance.

The tests revealed that Samsung’s latest release (E5) OLED panel has color space coverage of 112% DCI-P3 and 140% sRGB, full-screen peak brightness of 980 nits, and low-APL brightness of 1,508 nits. The E5 display also showcased the lowest screen reflectance ever tested by DisplayMate. Seven out of the fourteen performance records of this new OLED panel were rated “visually indistinguishable from perfect.” It uses the same Diamond Pixel arrangement used in the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s Eco OLED display.
