Q319 TV Shipments Down 16.2% Y/Y

TV sales slipped in Q319 to 54.97m down 16.2% Y/Y but up 9.6% sequentially (which is typical for Q3). Samsung remained the leader but there share dropped slightly, although there volume was down 16.6% Y/Y. LGE’s share was up 0.9%, but there volume was down 8.3%. Xiaomi moved from having no market share a year ago to 5th place with 2.75m units. The biggest losers were Sony and Sharp down 35.5% and 12.2% Y/Y respectively.
