Q220 Notebook Panels Up 30% Y/Y
August 02, 2020

While some panel maker released preliminary or final June and/or 2Q results, the total industry (large and small panel sales combined) it look like the industry grew 10.5% sequentially and 11.7% Y/Y in June. Taiwan continues to performed poorly while China grew.  Notebook and monitor sales, spurred by stay-at-home employees and students, continue to rise, which has helped panel makers focusing on IT products. TV panel shipments have also increased much of the demand is likely due to the start of inventory building in anticipation of a more normal holiday season
