JDI’s Multi-Sensory Touch Module

During SID DisplayWeek in August 2020, JDI announced a capacitive fingerprint sensors pilot, consisting of a 6.5-inch and 313ppi glass module with multi-sensory ready. The effective range of the sensor is 2.78 x 5.97-inch; one IC controls both the touch panel sensor and fingerprint sensor. Devices larger than 7-inches require multiple modules placed side by side. The mesh touch panel sensor electrode is so fine that the unevenness level of the fingerprint and the fingerprint can be detected anywhere in the 6.5-inch panel.
