iPhone SE Expected to be Released in April
April 05, 2020

An Apple Store leak, indicates that the iPhone SE that was formerly referred to as iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 will take on the moniker of the last cheap iPhone that was essentially a re-badged iPhone 5S. Apple seems to be carrying on its launch plans undeterred by the current situation or the fact that its stores around the world (apart from China) are closed. They recently delayed re-opening the Apple Stores in the US. A new lower-priced Apple iPhone has been expected for some time, last month at the same time as the iPad Pro launch. Now a leak suggests this this month, and only some 19 days away. The iPhone SE was incredibly popular last time it launched, and I believe that such a move would be considerably appealing to those who either don't want the latest and greatest, or are looking for devices for other members of their family. Many families opt to give their kids their old iPhone 6 or 7, and this could be a way of putting new phones into more hands. Apple will need to price it just right for it to work in the way they hope it will, but this could be the company's biggest selling iPhone to date if Apple can get it right.
