In Wisconsin, Terry Gou Tries to Maintain Trump Connection

Foxconn’s Chairman and former CEO Terry Gou has pledged to begin production at the delayed plant in Wisconsin sometime this year and will be manufacturing components for 5G mobile systems and artificial intelligence applications, without going into details.  He added that he expects to spend considerable time in the US this year, after failing to win the 2019 Presidential primary in Taiwan, which is a far cry from the Gen 10.5, Gen 6 LCD fabs promised earlier. Separately, there were reports that Gou will be returning to active management at Foxconn now that he has been rebuffed in his attempt to become Taiwan’s next president.
