IMID Disappointing Turnout

The International Meeting on Information Display 2021 (IMID) kicked off on Wednesday at COEX in South Korea but showed lackluster turnout. The event was originally scheduled to take place last year but delayed from the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 205 companies, including Samsung Display, LG Display and Merck, are took part but this is 10% less than two years ago.  Korea Display Industry Association, which co-hosting the conference, expected 5,000 participants that actually visit the offline booths. A person involved with the event said as of Wednesday, the first day turnout of participants seemed a third of 2019.

The SID's ICDM is running a webinar on the topic on Wednesday September 15th at 6.00pm PST.
