BOE Shipped 15m Smartphone OLED Panels in 1H2020
 
Qunzhi Consulting, reported that global smartphone panel shipments in the first half of this year fell by 3% Y/Y, but China's OLED mobile phone panel shipments increased by 50% Y/Y. 

Smartphone panel shipments in the 1H2020 were 804M units, down 3% Y/Y. BOE’s shipped  180M panels, first in the industry, 165m LCD panels and 15M OLED panels, up 46% Y/Y. BOE is shipping to or has orders from Huawei, OPPO, LGE, and Lenovo. Samsung Display shipped nearly 150 million smartphone panels, down Y/Y, but was still #1 in OLEDs Tianma smartphone panel shipments in the 1st half of the year were approximately CNY90 million, with a market share of approximately 11.5%. Its customer list includes Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi and others.
 
Quinzhi also wrote that the gradual release of new production capacity of panel makers in China such as BOE and Visionox, the shipments of panel makers in China in the first half of the year have achieved positive Y/Y growth. The company projected that Chinese OLED producer shipped about 32 million OLED smartphone panels, an increase of about 50% year-on-year, and their market share increased by about 7 percentage points Y/Y.  Visionox's flexible OLED panel shipments rank second in China as they supplied flexible panels to Huawei in the first half of the year.
