Apple’s Smart Watch Shipments Lose Ground to Competition in Q218

Apple’s dominant position in smart watches was cut from 43% to 34% in Q218 with a volume of 3.5m up 30% Y/Y but flat sequentially, The industry was up by 2.5m units, reaching 10m units the 2nd highest quarterly volume ever according to Canalys. Apple’s LTE version accounted for 60% of sales and was the best selling smartwatch in Asia.
