Barry Young

A longtime Principal, Senior Advisor and Consultant to DisplaySearch, Barry Young is founder and Managing Director of the OLED Association. As one of the industry's leading authorities on OLEDs and flexible displays, he has authored all of DisplaySearch's OLED and Flexible Display reports and has visited and consulted with most of the OLED manufacturers worldwide. Young has been published in multiple technical display journals and has spoken across the globe on the display industry.

Before joining DisplaySearch, Young was CEO and President of OWL Displays where he co-developed innovative driver technology for a-Si and p-Si TFT LCDs, and was awarded key patents architectures for driving low temperature polysilicon TFT LCDs. Before OWL, he was Vice President and General Manager for Tandem's Integrity System's Division. He has also served as Managing Partner at Booz Allen & Hamilton, Executive VicePresident with Wells Fargo Bank, Senior Vice President at Citibank and President and CEO of Lexar, an early developer of an all-digital PBX.

Joseph Runde

With almost 30 years of experience in communications on new technologies and new technology products, Joe Runde has been involved with OLED since 2000. His communications programs for Eastman Kodak Company resulted in three industry awards, and his marketing programs garnered two Addy awards. More recently, with eMagin Corporation, he led communications efforts for the Z800 3DVisor, OLED-XL technology, and the 3DS OLED microdisplay.

He led media relations efforts for Kodak's consumer digital cameras, inkjet printers, and media from 1996 to 2000. Earlier, he was responsible for media and industry relations in Kodak's Professional & Printing Imaging organization, introducing professional digital cameras, direct-to-plate technologies, and thermal printers.

From 1985 through 1990, he was responsible for Proposal Development in Kodak's Federal Systems Division, for systems such as the Chandra X-Ray telescope.

He holds a Ph.D. in English from the Pennsylvania State University and a BA in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
