MED adds Further Weight to its Sales Team in Asia

Edinburgh, UK, 18 November 2008 - MicroEmissive Displays is further increasing its sales management team in Asia to provide strategic support to its customers and distributors in the region. Kazuhisa Okamura has been appointed to the newly created role of Vice President of Sales - Japan. Commenting on the appointment, Bill Miller, CEO said, “Japan is a strategically important territory for MED, it is the area where the next generation of consumer optical devices are being developed. Okamura-san brings a wealth of sales development experience together with an understanding of the consumer electronics market in Japan to the role. He will work closely with Kaga, our distribution partner in Japan, to increase sales of our P-OLED microdisplay devices.”
Kazuhisa Okamura joins MED from Sonaptic where he has spent four and a half years as Country Manager developing and implementing new sales and marketing strategies, raising sales in excess of $5m. Prior to this he spent four and a half years at NuCore Technology, a digital imaging and mixed signal technology company, as Sales Director for Japan. Okamura started his career in the electronics industry with Intel in 1985 and subsequently held a number of account management and Sales Director roles.
