Gartner Forecasts 3% Y/Y Smartphone Growth in 2020

After a 2nd sluggish year in smartphone sale, Gartner predicts that growth will return in 2020, with all regions other than Latin America, experiencing Y/Y growth. Growth will be highest in China, the Middle East/North Africa and Mature Asia/Pacific. North America, which was down 12.3% in 2019 is expected to grow marginally as will Western Europe. India, the 2nd largest market after China, accounting for a larger share than either North America or Europe was not broken out separately by Gartner and is part of Emerging Asia/Pacific.
